The US Open is the last tennis major of the season and the final chance for the best players in the world to win a bit of glory.

It’s no surprise to see Novak Djokovic as the favorite to win the US Open despite carrying a shoulder injury which forced him to play poorly in a recent match against Andy Murray. The Serbian will be going for his third major of the US Open season with his opponents looking to test out his fitness fully. Djokovic for US Open betting is 6/4 for the title.

Rafael Nadal is the second favorite to take the US Open title at 5/1. The Spaniard has not been in the best of form in recent times but he still has a good enough game to be able to challenge on the American hard courts. Nadal will ensure that whoever he plays in the US Open at any point in the tournament will have to work extremely hard to win.

Andy Murray is third favorite to take the US Open at 11/2 because this is one of his best surfaces. He’s been in good form in the build up to the tournament and generally seems ready for his first Grand Slam title win of the US Open. The Scot has been in a lot of serious final situations but has always been beaten by a more determined and more experienced opponent who has got the edge over him.

Roger Federer can never be counted out of winning any Grand Slam title due to his massive experience. Federer has won more Grand Slam titles than anyone else in the history of the game so he knows what it takes to recover and up the ante to win a tournament. Federer has been enjoying some good form and will definitely be a popular bet for the US Open at 61/10.

For anyone looking for an outsider, Juan Martin Del Potro could be the man to back. The Argentine has held the US Open title before and will be very determined to get the US Open title back to his glory days now that he seems to have come to terms with recent injury problems that were proving a problem in his career. Del Potro is 22/1 in the US Open betting which is way off the odds for most of the favorites.

Mardy Fish in US Open betting is a 34/1 outsider but he is favorite to be the top American player at the US Open. He will enjoy a lot of support from the home crowd which could help him to lift his game against the better players.
